Join The POTC Book Club!

Join us for a two-month online book club on the fantastically deep and insightful (and also hilariously funny and morbidly entertaining) book:

You Only Die Once: How to Make It to the End with No Regrets (by Jodi Wellman)

We will meet every two weeks to discuss a few chapters in the book – expect to read 50-60 pages before each session (you can totally pull that off!)

And we’ll share what showed up for us in the reflections and writing prompts – of course, you only share what you want and if you want!

We’ll meet on the following dates:

1. Monday, June 3rd, 7 pm CEST / 10 am PST
  • Hello: A festive (or festively morbid?) welcome!
  • Chapter 1: The Pre-Mortem: This Thing Called Your Life
  • Chapter 2: The Astonishingly Alive Zones: Where Would You Plot Yourself?
2. Monday, June 17, 7 pm CEST / 10 am PST
  • Chapter 3: A Date with Death: A Brief Introduction to the End of Your Life
  • Chapter 4: Deathly Denial: Avoiding Your Existential Crisis
  • Chapter 5: The Ultimate Wake-Up Call: Brushes with Death
3. Monday, July 1, 7 pm CEST / 10 am PST
  • Chapter 6: Regrets: Those (Helpful) Little Assholes
  • Chapter 7: Habits: The Blunting of Our Aliveness
  • Chapter 8: Living Wider with Vitality: Fun + Pleasure + Joie de Vivre
4. Monday, July 15, 7 pm CEST / 10 am PST
  • Chapter 9: Living Deeper with Meaning: Plunging the Depths of Purpose
  • Chapter 10: The Paint by Numbers Part: Specific Actions to Live in Vivid Color
  • Chapter 11: The Postmortem: The Great Big “So Now What?” before You Bite the Biscuit

If you love to nerd out about books that offer wisdom on living well (and your friends are tired of hearing about it), then join our Psychologists Off the Clock Book Club!

Our group includes POTC team members and folks interested in joining us to dive into psychological themes in books, ranging from nonfiction to fiction, from self-help to memoir. It’s the perfect place to share your thoughts, ask questions and learn from the experiences of others.

Sometimes authors join us for our literary discussions! But even if it’s just our crew, we still have a blast, exploring ideas and debating the books that captivate us. We share a lot of laughs, too! Our goal is to encourage connection, curiosity, and meaningful conversations.
